Coming up for sale in Piers Motley’s two day auction on the 13/14th March is an extensive collection of flying helmets. The collection being sold on the second day (14th) includes helmets dating from the First World War through the Second world war and up to the Cold War. The majority of the helmets are leather examples but some canvas types are included in the collection. One of the highlights is an RAF leather Type B helmet which was the type used during the Battle of Britain. Prices vary from £40-50 up to £150-200
