A rare medieval silver alloy Acorn Knop spoon, the acorn knop with traces of gilding, tapered canted stem, pear shaped bowl, overall length 12.6cm, bowl length 6.5cm, stem 6.7cm, bowl with 3.8cm, 12.grams, scratched ownership mark W on the back of the bowl near the stem with a W or interlocking V's with line over, probably Westcountry., c. 14th century. Scratches, dents, some stress cracking at the base of the stem, sides of bowl slightly bent upwards.
