OF ADMIRAL LORD NELSON INTEREST; a George III yellow metal and Bristol blue glass amatory pendant, of navette outline, the central damaged panel with flowerhead and vase decoration enclosed by diamond chips with half pearl border, with pearl set suspension ring, engraved to the reverse "Horatio" "Frances" "11th March 1787", 55mm long. A/F
*Frances Herbert Woolward, formerly Nisbet, married Horatio Nelson on the 11th march 1787 on her native island of Nevis. She is buried in Littleham church, Exmouth.
Provenance: the pendant was found in an auction in the Forest of Dean near The Kymin in Monmouthshire where it is known Nelson and his wife stayed.
