A late 19th century Chinese export lacquered writing desk, decorated all over with figures in pagoda landscapes, the upper part with a pair of panelled cupboard doors enclosing an arrangement of small drawers and cupboards, with lift-off vanity box with hinged lids enclosing a fitted lift-out tray, raised on curved and swept legs, W. 65cm, H.129cm D. 65cm.
Overall condition is fair to good. There are cracks to the lacquer work along the front and right hand edge of the upper cupboard part and also a small hole. There are dents and chips to the edges of the lids to the box section, Interior is in good order. The ivory accessories are missing. There are numerous scuffs and some chips to the edges of the legs.
