Attributed to Richard Crossway, portrait of Mrs Rebecca Seaforth, wearing a white dress, her hair in ringlets and wearing a moll cap, miniature on ivory, oval, 6.5 x 5.5cm contained in a gold frame, with suspension loop. (Exemption Ref 5C4LC9YP)
Overall condition is good. there are no splits or chips to the ivory ground. there are no losses of paint to the portrait. colours are fair but slightly faded, The glass needs cleaning . The frame bears no hallmarks. They have been in a private collection from here in Devon and been brought from auction and antique dealers over the past forty years
